Get it while it’s hot! We are nearing the end of season, hopefully you will get a chance this year, otherwise catch us in 2025! This is one of the varieties of palm trees that produce an edible fruit. There’s many out there, and I want to try them all!



Excluding dates and coconuts, have you ever tried palm fruit?

Y’all, the I received from have germinated 😜

This ain’t the first time that I’ve a) received moringa from her and b) grown moringa trees, they are always viable. The seedlings may end up as an offering presented, only time will tell.

These are quite tasty and often confused with poison ivy or poison oak due to the number of leaves, neither of which have thorns. Happy foraging!

The native blackberries (Rubus occidentalis) have been blooming for a while. Prickly and woody, not many people want to leave them to grow so mostly they show up on roadsides and old fields. The flowers are pretty and very much resemble the roses to which they are related. First year canes don’t flower so if you cut them down every year then you won’t get fruit. We're having some cool days recently – folks used to call this chilly spring spell a ‘blackberry winter’ because the blackberries bloom about that time. Looks like it came true this year.
