Fabrication Fest offers a day of exploration, creativity, and curiosity focused on design, science, and technology. Accessible to everyone from novices to experts, this free event will inspire attendees to build skills for design and making through fun and inventiveness.

Because of the likelihood of significant rain, Fabrication Fest is once again postponed, this time to November 4.
But that means as a creative/maker/tech vendor you still have time to sign up and join us!! ;) ( no booth fee )

Don't just read a book... write one,
Don't just admire a painting.. paint one,
Don't just watch a movie, film one,
Don't just admire creativity... use your's!!

Fascinating life of creativity.... these are the types of people we should honor with holidays and weeks of celebration for their creative accomplishments & inspiration!!!
The youth should know them as role models to emulate.
Instead we waste the minds & energy of our youth on propaganda, artificial realities, cheap thrills and various isms.

As I noted in a Feb post Studio 55 will no longer be available as a mini Makerspace, but here is an update about it continuing as my personal studio. ;)
**Over the past 28 to 30 months many of our lives have been a roller coaster of events, changes, potential changes, life restructuring, gains and losses.
Over the past 10 months we attempted to do some major rearranging of life, art, and studio location.
But as the winds of change blew our nation into recession territory, those goals and changes hit a big brick wall.
For now.
So for at least one year and potentially two, we are going to stay put and try to rebuild something from the metaphorical bomb fire that the past 28 months left us. ;)
Let's see what 2023 & 2024 bring us.

Hi Folks,
Thanks to all the many makers and creatives who have inqired about our services and shop over the past 8 months.
It is encouraging to have so many people looking for a maker community.
But I am very sorry to say that due to the challenging past two+ covid years, and other issues with the city of EP, we are currently in the ongoing process of closing down after over fourteen years in two locations.
We know that out of this shop several hundred projects have gone out the door and to locations all over the world. Good memories remain.
The times have changed so much, and as time has rolled forward, the future has too.
We are currently uncertain as to what that future holds... for STUDIO55.

But we wish the Best of Luck to all you makers and creatives in your local search to carry on the DIY Spirit in your artistic endeavors.
If something changes we will update you all.

Hey friends and followers,
First I would like to thank the dozen plus people who made inquiries in the past few months, and I apologize for not getting back to you.
2020 was certainly a year that brought changes and shifting to many lives and creative endeavors.
2021 has continued that for some, us included.
We are grateful for over a decade plus of activity on a small scale, including the many creative friends who have passed through our doors in both locations.
A lot changes in a decade+. And we are considering our options going forward. Change is certain. Just not totally clear on what that looks like.
