HEAT WAVES IS HERE

Returning for its 4th summer, Heat Waves is back and better than ever. Built for warm afternoons and long summer days, this seasonal blend combines expressive coffees from Colombia and Ethiopia to create notes of strawberry jam, Aperol, and cocoa powder. It’s juicy, nostalgic, and fruit-forward while remaining balanced with a smooth, refreshing finish.

Whether brewed hot or poured over ice, Heat Waves was made for slow mornings, road trips, and summer evenings.

Matcha, The Upshot Way

Intentionality is at the heart of everything we do. From sourcing coffee to designing our spaces, we want every detail to reflect care, quality, and purpose. As we looked at our matcha offerings, we realized they weren’t living up to that same standard.

So we started over.

Over the past few months, we’ve carefully built a matcha menu that we’re genuinely proud of. Thoughtful ingredients, balanced flavors, and drinks designed to showcase what great matcha can be.

Over the past few months, we’ve been carefully developing a menu that showcases the depth, versatility, and beauty of matcha. From everyday staples to refreshing creations, each drink was built to let matcha shine.

Matcha Cloud:
Then & Now matcha layered with coconut water and topped with vanilla cream.

Then & Now Matcha Latte:
Our signature matcha latte featuring Then & Now matcha.

Yuzu Matcha Tonic:
Gekkou matcha paired with tonic and bright yuzu citrus.

Gekkou Matcha Shot
A concentrated preparation of Gekkou matcha.

Summer Menu Drops Tomorrow ☀️

Spring has passed and the heat is here to stay. Our new summer menu is bright, refreshing, and built for long afternoons by the pool. Meet the cast:

Rhubarb & Basil Latte:
Heatwaves espresso, house-made rhubarb basil syrup, whole milk, and finished with fresh basil.

Watermelon Mint Matcha:
Then & Now matcha layered over fresh watermelon lemonade and mint syrup.

Hibiscus Limeade:
House-made hibiscus syrup topped with sparkling limeade and a fresh lime slice.

Mint Mojito Cold Brew:
Cold brew, oat milk, house-made mint syrup, and fresh mint.

Horchata Latte:
Chimera espresso, horchata syrup, oat milk, and a cinnamon sugar finish.

Limited Release — El Salvador Metapán Anaerobic Washed 🇸🇻

In the northwest Metapán region of El Salvador, coffee has been part of Alejandro Valiente’s family for four generations. After taking over the family washing station in 2010, Alejandro began rethinking what coffees from this region could be by experimenting with processing, improving quality systems, and investing deeply in the producers around him.

That vision became Socios de Cosecha: a community-focused project now working alongside 67 small producers throughout the region.

This lot is a reflection of that work. Through carefully controlled anaerobic washed processing, upgraded drying infrastructure, and quality-focused milling at the washing station, the cup is both expressive and incredibly clean.

Pacamara brings bright pomegranate sweetness, citrus vibrancy, and a silky finish that keeps evolving as it cools. Get it while you can!
