The Rural Program assists youth age 11-21 navigate adolescence, especially those who are experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or have run away.

We offer a wide range of services aimed toward solving challenges related to educational deficits, behavioral health issues, drug addiction, and homelessness. Products

In our drop-in center, we offer several services, including but not limited to...

- Access to basic needs and hygiene items, including a clothing closet

- Breakfast, lunch, and snacks all day

- Assistance ordering vital records (e.g. birth certificate, state ID, social security card) and signing up for OHP

- Assistance with developing and achieving educational, personal, and career goals

- Linkages to services in the community involved in housing, transportation, meal sites, etc.

- Counseling services 1-2 times per week

- Free Internet access, movies, board games, books, art supplies, and more!

We also do community, school, and street outreach, meeting with those in Cottage Grove and the surrounding area to spread the word about Rural Program services.

General information

The Looking Glass Rural Program's drop-in center is an all-inclusive, safe place for youth, regardless of race, gender, sexual identity, creed, or disability. We strive to meet youth where they're at, being receptive to their personal and professional goals, whatever they may be.
