Okay, well, I am a Top 5 winner in the "Special" category of the Great American Song Contest!

Here's what I learned:
Apparently, more than 1800 songwriters from 32 countries competed in 2025, so being selected as a top winner is a very impressive achievement. 🔥🔥🔥
As an award winner I was invited to display their official GASC Award graphic on my website and publicity
materials. So, that's what I'm doing! ☺️
They hope my participation in their event provided a sense of accomplishment and affirmation, and it HAS actually. They said that sometimes, a little recognition can make a big difference in a songwriter’s perseverance and achievement. And, I can honestly say that this award has definitely injected me with a sense of greater motivation, and a feeling of "yeah I guess I'm a pretty decent songwriter, and I need to keep at it".
They say I am impressively
talented, to believe in myself and never miss an opportunity to network and share my songs. (I will do this!) They said that I clearly have what it takes to become an amazing songwriter. And of course, that would never happen if I stopped!!

More alfombras walking throughout Antigua...people sit and watch them being created... ✨

In Antigua, during Holy Week they create "alfombras" which are rugs made out of sawdust, flowers, grass, even vegetables! They create them in the streets and the religious processions go over them and they're gone....and they represent impermanence. ✨🙌🏼
