From the mountains of the Adirondacks to the forests of Oregon, Lucy Heflin has always been driven by curiosity— and a sense of responsibility to protect the outdoors.
Within the College of Forestry at Oregon State University, Heflin combined her curiosity with research and fieldwork to explore avian biology and landscape ecology, culminating in an honors thesis on how wildfire affects bird populations.
