The Wake

One hour til the sweet sounds of rock and roll in the summertime hits your earholes Corvallis. Head down to Bombs Away for some free, all-ages welcome local music! Lacota at 6:00pm, Propfouler at 7:00, MetaMantra at 8:00, and WUPS at 9:00. The kitchen will be serving Happy Hour food and the bar will be serving beer for those who are 21+. See you soon!

Steve is putting on an all-ages, alcohol-free show at Bombs Away on Sunday, December 30th. 5-9pm, $5 suggested donation. So far we've got Wups, Radion, and 89 Dynasty on the bill! Come out and support great local rock shows for everyone - if the turnout's good we'll most likely be able to make a regular thing of it!!! Get the word out!

Hello Wake dudes, this is Andrew Sullivan at Sub Pop Records, I was hoping that we could help stoke out some of your all ages kids with our Loser scholarship. I am part of a Sub Pop committee that is giving $13,000 in scholarships away to killer high school kids. We were talking about ways to promote the Sub Pop Loser Scholarship this year and we wanted to make sure that we engage Northwest All Ages venues.

Please send me a message if you are willing and able to help financially support a safe (working sprinkler system, double doors, high visibility), large (100+ capacity), and legitimate all-ages music venue 5 minutes' walk from downtown Corvallis and right on the bus line. I need 20-50 people who can commit to investing $20-$50 per month. People under 21 highly encouraged to join this effort!

The Wake now has a google calendar. I believe you have to have a gmail account in order to view it, you go to the little box with opaque lettering that says "Add a friend's calendar" and type in my email address, which is [email protected]
