“The structural design of this project was actually made easier by maintaining the same design concepts and relative scale of each of three separate buildings on the lot. The most difficult design aspect of the project was developing a drainage control plan so that all rainwater could be collected and transmitted to the City storm drain system.” - David M. Jones 👷♂️

✨ David Barnard Steinman (1886-1960) was an American civil engineer and poet. He is most known for his bridges, such as the Mackinac Bridge in Michigan and the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge in New York. He became interested in poetry later in life, publishing his book, “I Built a Bridge and Other Poems,” in 1955. 📚

🌟 Next Tuesday, March 1, 2022, the EIT Group will be hosting a free introductory seminar. 👨🏫
▪️ This seminar will be hosted by David M. Jones P.E., G.E., CASp, and will introduce you to the structure of the EIT Group’s seminars and projects, a brief intro assignment, and a Q&A session. 🙋♂️ The intro seminar will be a great opportunity to learn about the goals, expectations, and responsibilities of EIT Group members.
▪️The seminar will be held over Zoom from 7 PM - 8 PM PST. The meeting ID will be posted on the EIT Group website in the seminar description.👩💻
