My last Conquer the Coast ride!

Event Logo and Jersey design for United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce Conquer the Coast cycling event. This is an awesome event and I'm proud to say that I've rode the 65 mile route 6 times and the 25 mile twice.

Logo Spotlight:

In 2016, the Corpus Christi Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce decided to merge into a single entity. An RFP was issued to design the new logo, and I was thrilled that my design was selected among the other submissions.

The icon I created is quite simple: it visually represents the two lines symbolizing each chamber merging into one, signifying their unity. The seagull, which is an emblem of the Coastal Bend, symbolizes prosperity. The specific shade of blue I used is a blend of 50% from the Hispanic Chamber and 50% from the Corpus Christi Chamber. The new logo is timeless, versatile, and easy to use across all applications.

Project Spotlight: Kleberg Bank Mural Design

In 2017, I was tasked with creating a mural design for the atrium lobby of Kleberg Bank's main branch in Corpus Christi, TX. The design needed to encapsulate the history of Robert Kleberg, showcasing his legacy within the King Ranch and his influence in the South Texas community.

One of the challenges I faced was creating an image of Robert Kleberg that would serve as the focal point of the digital mural. After finding a suitable reference photo, I drew his portrait with a Bic pen on printer paper. Once I completed that image, everything else fell into place. The final result is a deeply rooted mural design that highlights the rich history of Robert Kleberg and his significant impact on South Texas and beyond.

Here's a logo I redesigned a few years ago. The previous logo felt more like a design than a true logo. The South Texas Military Task Force wanted a logo that represented the four main branches of the United States military, along with the versatility to be used in different applications. A great logo should have versatility; it should be clear and legible even when shrunk down to one inch in size and easily adaptable for embroidery. The new logo I designed accomplishes all of these goals and is timeless.

Here's a design I created for Charity League of Corpus Christi for their style show and luncheon fundraising event. I was given a mood board for inspiration but it was my job to bring their vision to life. Executions include the event program, invitations, tickets, table cards, and tshirts.
