Kids reading to kids! That's what the Early Bird Reader Program is all about. We are part of the United Way's Success by Six programs.
Drop off new and gently used children's books ages 0-5 in our donation bins at Corpus Christi public libraries. Every year, the Early Bird Reader Program and partners hold a book drive, collecting new and gently used books for babies and pre-K children. Our next book drive is Friday, March 31, 2017 from 5:00 AM to 6:30 PM at KIII-TV studios.

This is true! Anyone who can read can read to a small child and should. Siblings, cousins, neighbors and friends can all be enlisted as readers for small children. So what are you waiting for - READ!

Oh happy day - we received lots of great books from the bookerys we have located in the Corpus Christi Public Libraries! Thank you to Garrick Phelps who helped me deliver them safely into storage at the ESC2. We are ready for a great year.

We have such a great time during our book drives at KIII-TV. Love meeting all the people that drop by to give us books. And we have such great volunteers too! This Friday - we'll be there for our 10th year.
Donate during the Early Bird Reader Book Drive The 10th Annual KIII-TV Early Bird Reader Program Book Drive is happening on Friday March 31st from 5 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. at the KIII-TV studios.

Last March students and teachers from Dawson Elementary brought by books they collected for our KIII EBR Book Drive. What fun it was to meet them and see their excitement for passing on their books to others who are just now learning the joys of books and reading.
