πEmployee Spotlight: John Moore π
Meet John, our Director of Business Development for the Texas State Use Program! John has been a valued part of the STLB family for 15 years.π
John shared that one of the biggest things he has learned while working alongside individuals who are blind or visually impaired is that βthere is no such thing as disabilities.β He says he has seen his coworkersβ abilities excel above many sighted people he has known throughout the years, and that visual impairment and blindness can become motivation to overcome challenges and grow stronger every day. π
John also shared that he has underdeveloped optic nerves due to Rh toxicity in the womb. While his eyes are healthy, his optic nerves cannot fully process the images from his eyes to his brain.
His favorite thing about working at STLB is the people. He loves seeing fellow employees overcome obstacles and prove that nothing can hold them back.
Fun fact: John is a preacher and teacher of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He enjoys giving Bible studies and sharing testimonies about the goodness of God. Thank you John, we appreciate you!! π
