Back Office Customer Service Specialist
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Support Specialist to join our team. This position offers a mix of customer service responsibilities and specialized back-office work β with a strong focus on phone tasks. You will support customers who use CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) therapy and also contribute to various operational functions, including:
β’ Chats β Responding to customer inquiries via live chat.
β’ Pre-Authorizations (Pre-Auths) β Assisting in reviewing and submitting requests.
β’ Verifications β Confirming insurance, prescription, or account information.
β’ RX Requests β Managing and processing prescription-related needs.
β’ Claims Processing β Preparing and submitting claim documentation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
β’ Manage customer interactions through chat, email, and phone calls.
β’ Process orders for CPAP equipment and supplies.
β’ Verify insurance coverage and prescription requirements.
β’ Assist with pre-authorization and claims submissions.
β’ Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to orders, deliveries, or equipment.
β’ Maintain accurate records in the companyβs system.
β’ Ensure HIPAA compliance and report any potential breaches immediately.
β’ Meet or exceed performance goals in quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
Qualifications and Requirements
Required:
β’ Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare or medical equipment environment.
β’ Strong written communication skills
β’ Minimum typing speed of 60+ words per minute.
β’ High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
β’ Professional, empathetic, and team-oriented personality.
β’ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with multiple software systems.
β’ Ability to multitask between different workflows.
