🔥 Watching the WCWS has been an absolute masterclass in competition. 👀🥎
Some takeaways from watching the WCWS 👀🥎
Emotions.
Look at these athletes showing emotion—excited, frustrated, mad, disappointed, and fired up. They aren’t afraid to show how much they care. The key is that they use those emotions to fuel their performance instead of letting them control it. The negative emotions are short-lived. They process them, move on, and focus on the next pitch, next play, and next opportunity.
Team Effort.
These players aren’t just playing for themselves. They’re playing for the name on the front of the jersey and for the teammates beside them. They constantly show support and make sure everyone knows they’ve got each other’s backs.
Hitters.
One swing can change an entire game. The power, bat speed, and exit velocities these athletes produce are incredible. They are always one pitch away from changing the outcome.
Pitchers.
These pitchers are amazing. They’re throwing 100–200 pitches in a day and competing at the highest level. They give up home runs, miss spots, and make mistakes—but what stands out is how quickly they regroup and get back to work. Cool, calm, and collected.
Outfield.
I can’t say enough about the impact of outfield play. Diving catches, throwing runners out at the plate, cutting balls off in the gaps, and playing balls off the wall correctly have won and lost games throughout this tournament. The outfield has had a huge impact.
At the end of the day, this game is about competing. It’s about resilience, toughness, and heart.
The biggest lesson? The most competitive athletes aren’t the ones who never fail—they’re the ones who respond the fastest when they do.
Whether you’re on the field, in the weight room, or in life, keep showing up, keep competing, and keep attacking the next pitch. That’s where resilience is built, and that’s what separates good from great. 💪🥎
A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out to our Hitting & Pitching Camp! 🥎
We had an amazing group of athletes who worked hard, asked great questions, and brought so much energy to the field. Watching these girls learn, compete, and improve is why we love what we do!

Small rant…
this game is HARD. One of the hardest games in the world.
And pitching? Pitching is HARD HARD.
The biomechanics of it.
The form.
The discipline.
The endless reps it takes just to do it correctly.
Now add in all the “little” things that aren’t little at all…
Learning to move the ball inside and outside.
Learning to throw high in the zone and low in the zone.
Learning the FEEL of when to release the ball differently depending on location.
That is an EXTREMELY underrated skill.
And yet some “coaches” expect 9, 10, and 11-year-old girls to do that on command every single pitch. Mind blowing.
And I say “coaches” because a GOOD coach understands age-appropriate skills. A good coach understands development. A good coach doesn’t mentally drain an athlete because she can’t execute an advanced skill perfectly on demand.
On top of ALL of that… these girls are growing.
Their bodies are changing.
Hormones are changing.
Confidence is changing.
Emotions are changing.
They are carrying way more than people realize.
If as a coach you can’t acknowledge that… and instead of learning how to properly teach, you choose to mentally degrade young athletes and just yell at them… then please do us all a favor and don’t coach.
End rant… kinda
