Combs' Coffee

It's hard to believe that it's been a year since Mandy and I flew my little airplane 7000+ miles from Texas through the Caribbean to South America and back! We visited 15 countries and dozens of islands, and only had tire issues and trouble finding fuel. I cannot wait for this year's adventure!

I have been looking forward to getting the latest and greatest, Javanica Natural, back from our longtime buddies at Fincas Mierisch!
This coffee never fails to wow me, with its mild acidity and matching light body. But the finish is equally smooth and sweet, which balance perfectly with the tropical fruit flavors!

I took (and passed) the new 'Evolved Q Arabica Grader' SCA/CVA certification course this week!
It is an interesting new concept, and I already know how I'm going to implement it in my company.
I'm curious how the rest of the industry will react and apply this new cupping framework as well.

Mandy and I had a great time visiting/staying the night ! I hadn't been here since 2019.
We had such a great time hanging out with Ernesto again. He always takes such great care of me/us!
After breakfast, we visited their wet and dry mill and cupped some very, very nice coffee!
He even helped me get fuel for the plane since Xalapa doesn't carry Avgas.
We're sad that our grand 15-country Carribean tour is almost over; but we're excited to fly home and see everyone! 😀

Luckily we've always carried my award winning Aeropress recipe in our cafés!
