Microsoft Teams is rolling out a new “employee location” feature that automatically detects where you’re working from so yes, even if you’re logged in from your kitchen, your boss might know you’re not in the office. 😬 The feature uses Wi-Fi and network data to flag whether you’re onsite, remote, or hybrid, giving managers a real-time snapshot of team presence.

Rolling out December 2025, it’s optional for now but it’s already got remote workers talking. Microsoft says it’s meant to “improve collaboration,” but critics say it blurs the line between teamwork and tracking.

And for those sneaky “work-from-the-beach” folks, bad news them sneaky vacations might be officially canceled. 🏝️💻 iHeartRadio
