Dynamic Bike Fit is Open For Fitting in Roanoke, Texas

DBF will continue providing state of the art bike fitting services in North Texas. While Mad Duck Roanoke (bike shop) closed this past week, Dynamic Bike Fit continues to provide independent fitting services. Moving forward, I will be performing fits at our Roanoke studio on select days. If you are in need of services outside of published times, please reach out. We can see what we can make happen.

I want to address and clear up any rumors and misinformation floating around town.

First and foremost...DYNAMIC BIKE FIT IS NOT CLOSING.

Mark, owner of Mad Duck Roanoke and independent of DBF, will be retiring from the bike industry at the end of the year. He will close the Roanoke bike shop later this month. While it may be enticing for some to take over a bike shop, I have no desire nor time to run the day to day activities of a local bike shop.

Dynamic Bike Fit will remain an independent cycling services company focused on providing bike fit services in a judgement free environment open to all levels of cyclists from serious recreational to competitive road and triathlon.

Since 2009, I have remained an independent Master Retul Fitter rooted in science and not in myth and hearsay. As such, I am free from bicycle brand constraints and void of demands to sell and service bikes. My focus has always been and will continue to be on you, the rider.

Whether you bought your bike from a fine local bike shop, snagged an online ride, or secured a used bike, DBF will continue to work with you to fit your unique requirements. Where you buy and service your bike has no bearing on the advanced fitting services Dynamic Bike Fit provides.

Finally...looking to the future:

December 2024
- Begin offering new time slots to better align with rider's work schedules.
- Support and assist Mark in activities related to closing Mad Duck Roanoke.

March 2025
- Move to a new location in the vicinity of Roanoke, TX that is better sized for the services DBF provides

Howdy,

NEEDED - SRAM BLIP BOX

Does anyone have a SRAM eTAP blip box that they would be able to loan for a few weeks? I know some of ya'll have TT bikes that sit until a TT while others have Tri bikes that may be dormant for a few weeks. Its a long story but I have a client who is in great need for that part to be able to get their rig back rolling before a big event later this month.

Our little community here pulled through and helped to make Trent Fielder trip to world championships in Australia happen.

I am seeking some help for a para-athlete I have been working with... Does anyone have a bike case like the ones pictured below and would be willing to loan it for a short period of time? This athlete is in need of one to get to Triathlon World Championships in Australia. The airlines and shipping companies have been less than accommodating. However, these cases may accommodate his hand-cycle and allow it to go on the plane at a reasonable cost.

Roberto had been dealing with severe back pain and sciatica. His beautiful high end bike had a cut steer tube and an integrated cockpit. This put us in a tough situation to make any changes to the front end. 😕 After his off-bike assessment we digitally measured the bike and took some motion capture as a baseline. We quickly switched things over to the MÜVE bike. Here we found an optimal position to use as a point of reference without having the limitations of his bike. 🙌🏼

With these measurements we then digitally transferred as much of this new position as we possibly could to his current bike.

Changes were made with a new saddle, saddle height & fore/aft, cleat position, stance width, custom fütbeds, and hood position. It wasn’t EXACTLY the same position that we were able to achieve on the MÜVE bike, but thankfully it was enough to relieve his back pain and sciatica!

Fast forward ⏩ to a year later when his frame had a defect and was to be warrantied. He was given the option to choose a new size integrated cockpit and would now have a full spacer stack for us to work with on the steer tube!!! Thankfully Roberto reached out for our help with the sizing on the new components. We completed a digital transfer fit and he is back to riding his new frame and feeling better than ever before!
