Saturday, as many already know, Southern Alcorn County had a large woods and grass fire. Multiple departments were utilized as well as the special operations unit. The photo below is of two of our certified drone pilots, they were assisting with fire location and direction. This is an invaluable tool on incidents as large as this one and plays a critical role in the strategic placement of resources on the ground. If you are a certified drone pilot and would be interested in helping your community please send us a message for details!
