As part of our "Unearth A Story" summer reading program's scheduled events, today is Dino-Mite Sidewalk Chalk Day at our library!

Come pick up a gift bag that contains a pack of sidewalk chalk, a bookmark, and a vinyl pouch and help make our walkways beautiful! If you can't stay to decorate ours, you are welcome to take your bag home and decorate yours.

We are so lucky to have our first group of artists arrive, and we absolutely love their drawings this morning. THANK YOU!

We are here until 2:00 p.m., and we hope to see you, too!

Our children's section is ready for all of your summer reading needs. Come in and explore our many new graphic novels, picture books, and juvenile fiction titles! If you have not yet signed up for our summer reading program, there's still plenty of time. Join the 125 people who already signed up this week! The program is free and is open to children, teens, and adults.

Today is Dinosaur Puzzles Day at the library for children ages 5-12 from 11:00-12:00. We will be putting together a variety of puzzles--dinosaur trivia, wooden ones, and a Triceratops floor puzzle.

Summer Reading registration started yesterday, so be sure to stop in, sign-up, and children ages 0-12 get a free gift bag.

Something new this year for our teens and adults is to register for our Summer Reading Challenge which takes you on a journey through fiction and non-fiction using the Dewey Decimal System as a guide to chart reading progress.
We have lots of gift cards and reading gift baskets to give away, so be sure to join us for a summer full of fun.

The next meeting for the new Mixed Media Art Club will be held on Tuesday, July 7th at 1:00 p.m.

Bring your current projects and your ideas!

We will also be talking about an exciting field trip opportunity.

Summer Reading 2026 "Unearth A Story" registration begins on Monday, June 15th!

Children ages 0-12 will receive a summer reading registration gift bag while supplies last. Teens and adults who register can stop in to get their reading log to get started on this year's new summer reading challenge. We have a lot of nice prizes, gift cards, and gift baskets to give away this summer, so if you are a reader and lover of books, be sure to join in on all of the fun.

There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, June 10th at 1:00 p.m. at the library in our downstairs meeting room for any adult who would like to become a member of our new mixed media art club.

In observance of the Memorial Day holiday, the library will be closed on Saturday, May 23rd and on Monday, May 25th.
