Transparency is key, here are my answers to the Gazette 2.0 candidate interview

As a proud history buff, I firmly believe in the power of critical thinking. It's the cornerstone of progress and the key to shaping a future we can all be proud of.
Every decision we make as a community matters. That's why I've decided to run for council—to bring a fresh perspective, new ideas, and a genuine commitment to Coraopolis' growth and success.
My passion for our town is fueled by the rich tapestry of history and the incredible sense of community that defines Coraopolis. I want to preserve what makes us unique and propel us forward, addressing challenges and seizing opportunities together.
Let's work collaboratively, leveraging our collective wisdom and critical thinking skills, to ensure that Coraopolis remains a place we're all proud to call home. Together, we can write the next chapter of our town's story, leaving a legacy of progress and unity.
It is okay to disagree with others. Everyone has their own views, and opinions and just because they are different from yours doesn’t make them wrong. Let’s get back to having conversations and workin out our differences of opinion rather than attacking someone because of the “party” they are a member of, or because they have a different opinion than other members of their “party”.
I have said it before and I will say it again, I decided to run because I see an opportunity to provide a positive change to our town by not participating in the partisan fighting that is dividing our country and distracting us from the real issues we face.
Today is the day!
Let’s do this, if you need help getting to the polls, please let me know. I will also be at the Municipal Building this morning and evening, stop by say hi, or ask questions I would love to meet each and every one of you.

The Elections Division today reminded voters of arrangements in place and tools available to them in advance of the Primary Election Day, May 16, 2023.
In order for mail-in and absentee ballots to be counted, the Elections Division must receive them by 8 PM on Election Day, May 16.
As a reminder, voters will be able to go to the Ross Street entrance of the building located at 542 Forbes Avenue and return their ballot to Elections staff located directly inside of those doors.
Now that the deadline to apply for a mail-in or absentee ballot has passed, voters may still be eligible for an emergency absentee ballot if they cannot make it to the polls. Learn more here: https://alleghenycounty.us/elections/emergency-absentee-ballots.aspx
On Election Day, all 1,324 polling places will be open. Hours are from 7 AM to 8 PM and anyone in line at 8 PM will be allowed to vote.
A total of 29 polling places changed since the general election. Voters in those precincts have been sent a mailing to advise them of where they will be voting on Election Day. Additionally, notices will be posted on the old locations to redirect voters accordingly. The Elections Division encourages voters to verify their registration and polling place prior to going to vote.
The voter can check their voter registration status here: https://www.votespa.com/Register-to-Vote/Pages/Check-Your-Voter-Registration-Status.aspx.
The state’s polling place locator is available at https://www.pavoterservices.pa.gov/pages/pollingplaceinfo.aspx. Please note that the state’s site is set up to use a voter’s mailing address, NOT their municipality.
Lastly, voters can view a sample ballot in advance of going to the polls by using the county’s sample ballot application available here: https://www.alleghenycounty.us/elections/sample-ballots.aspx. Voters do need to know their municipality, ward and district. If unknown, that information is also available by using the state’s polling place locator.
The Elections Division will begin the pre-canvassing of mail-in and absentee ballots at 7 AM on Election Day at its warehouse on the North Side. By state law, tabulation and reporting of results cannot occur until polls close at 8 PM. Preliminary results from mail-in and absentee ballots are expected to be reported out shortly after polls close and will continue to be updated throughout the evening. Typically, election results from polling places begin reporting by 9 PM. All results will be available on the county’s website at https://alleghenycounty.us/elections/election-results.aspx.

If you (or a loved one) applied for an Absentee or Mail-In Ballot, please make sure you get it mailed in ASAP. As of today, there are 239 Outstanding Mail-In / Absentee Ballots from Coraopolis. Your ballot MUST be received by 8PM on Election Day for it to be counted.

Did you know members of the Coraopolis Borough Council earn a salary of $2,400 a year? Source:https://coraopolispa.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/1819-Compensation-paid-to-Council.pdf
I am pledging publicly, that if elected I will donate 100% of my salary as a member of Council to local Nonprofit Organizations to help further their missions and to help better our town.
It's not a lot, but if everyone came together, and worked together the world would be a better place.

Fresh "Off the presses" the Gazette 2.0 Election Guide
“The biggest concerns I hear from members of the community involve the appearance and condition of the infrastructure and amenities in town, in order to address this it will be critical to work closely with the Borough Manager as well as local organizations to have the largest impact without putting the burden on the taxpayers"

It's almost Primary Election Day (May 16). When you cast your ballot, no matter your party, make sure you vote for the person you think will best represent you and your needs.
I am running on the Republican ticket, but that doesn't mean that I want to hear from every resident and taxpayer, especially those in the 4th Ward. Email me, or send me a message on Facebook and I will get back to you as soon as possible!
If you are a Democrat, please consider writing me in as well, I promise to fight for what is right for everyone in Coraopolis, regardless of party. Partisan politics have no place in municipal government, we all need to work together!
Thank you to everyone who came out tonight to the Meet the Candidates event! Remember, if you have any ideas or suggestions, please reach out!
