9-Year-Old Girl Dies in Wave Pool at Hersheypark in Pennsylvania Lifeguards noticed that the girl was in distress and tried to rescue her, according to the park, which said that the pool remained closed on Friday.

Anyone can drown, no one should. Today is World Drowning Prevention Day so today and everyday Stop Drowning Now believes that drowning can be prevented. We believe that awareness, skills, knowledge and practice can help parents and kids realize the risks they face, learn how to protect themselves and react effectively if an emergency happens. Together we can stop drowning through education, awareness and vigilance.

🛟 Use USCG Life Jackets on all open water!
