Today, we honor Juneteenth—a powerful reminder of the triumph of freedom over injustice and the unyielding strength of those who walked before us.

The two-year delay between the Emancipation Proclamation and the news of freedom reaching Galveston, Texas, reminds us that the journey to justice can be a long, heavy road. But the story of Juneteenth proves that no matter how long the night, daylight always breaks. When seasons feel dark or stagnant, we are called to hold fast to our faith and remain hopeful.

"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
— Isaiah 40:31

Let’s carry that ancestral resilience into the future. Keep pushing forward, keep supporting one another, and never lose sight of the hope that sustains us.

What to Expect

GriefShare is a friendly, Christian-based group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone.

The program features:

Video Seminars: Encouraging, information-packed videos featuring leading grief recovery experts.

Support Group: Small group discussion about the weekly video content.

Personal Study: A workbook for further personal reflection and application.
