Heroes Rancheros

Kidding season is a little late this year, but these 2 cuties were born yesterday to the original Gretel and young billy, Oreo, at 10:30AM. This is her 4th season of MORE bucklings 😏. We named them Snickers and Doodles keeping with our herd of "sweets" . Welcome to Heroes Rancheros🥰. 2 more mamas waiting for their time to shine🤞🤞🤞...

Snuggles just enjoying the daily swim in just one of many "ponds" filled after the recent rain. They're only about 5-7" deep at best but he loves it ... Right until he caught me taking photos from the truck window. He comes running/waddling/flying to me as soon as he sees me. 🥰

Keeping the momentum rolling! Almost planting season. Repurposed paneling, pallets, and commercial IBC containers make a perfect starter box for seedlings and fodder for livestock. 10 weeks of trays for our aquaponics system to have a heavy start this Spring. With a 1000sqft greenhouse project there will be plenty of room to grow everything we need from fruits, viny veggies, berries and tubers.

Just some bathroom humor in the new "outhouse". Sometimes you just gotta go when you're not so close to the bathroom. Now I understand why they left it outside in the good ol days. 🤣 No one wants that drug in the house! Heroes Rancheros makes uses of repurposed wood, pallets and commercial IBC containers to make almost anything.. Just a little creativity and ingenuity and anything seems possible.

My how time flies. This year's early babies are growing quickly. Next year's breeders are loving the new pen with all the room. Chips, Ahoy (twin buckings-left), Licorice (doeling-back right) and Mocha(doeling-front right). Still waiting for kidding season to see how many new babies we get.🤞🤞🤞The herd is slowly and steadily growing, and it all started with Hansel and Gretel donated by one of my best friends in school, Melanie Burt. I swear these boyz are like the farm yard Mafia. I hear them coming, but when I look they're genuinely acting like they're NOT following me. They MUST SEE everything and PECK everything at LEAST once to see if it passes their approval. Gotta keep my head on a swivel around them gobblers. 🤣🤣

Getting a start on insulation for the next tiny home project at Heroes Rancheros. Keaghan is such a great helper and growing into an even better handyman, like his dad.
