When the Vocal Majority’s incredible 10 consecutive gold medal run ended in 2009, the chorus found itself at a crossroads. At the same time, Greg Clancy was stepping forward—unsure if he was ready to follow in the footsteps of his father, the late Jim Clancy, as Musical Director.
What followed were years of determination and growth. VM earned silver medals in both 2009 and 2010, coming heartbreakingly close—but falling just short of winning. After time away from competition, the chorus returned to competition in 2014 with renewed purpose, reclaiming the gold and launching a new era that continues more than a decade later.
