🚨 FOSTER HOMES NEEDED ASAP 🚨

We urgently need immediate foster or permanent homes for two beloved pets whose family is facing heartbreaking circumstances.

🐶 Murphy is a 9-year-old, approximately 35-pound terrier mix who was adopted from CHS. He is healthy, playful, and friendly with adults, children, cats, and other dogs. Murphy is a wonderful companion who has so much love to give.

🐱 We are still gathering details about this sweet cat, but we know she is around 8 years old and has lived her entire life indoors after being brought into the home as a kitten. She is very shy but gets along well with other cats and dogs. She may always be reserved, but with a calm, patient person, she will gradually relax and settle in.

Their family spent many years rescuing and fostering animals, helping countless pets in need. Following a recent loss and significant health challenges, they now need our community's help to ensure these animals are safe and cared for.

This tiny survivor was found on the side of the road by one of our amazing foster families, who immediately stepped in to help. At just 4 weeks old and weighing only one pound, Dollar General was already battling an upper respiratory infection, an eye infection, fleas, and internal parasites. Thankfully, he was found just in time.

Since arriving at CHS, Dollar General has begun his rescue journey with veterinary exams, treatment, a visit to an animal ophthalmologist, and plenty of love and TLC. We're happy to report that he is well on his way to recovery and is settling into the comfy life every kitten deserves.

Over the coming weeks, he will receive his vaccinations, neuter surgery, and any additional care needed before he begins the search for his forever home.

Meet Sassafras! 💕 This beautiful, playful, sassy 6-month-old kitten recently showed up on the porch of one of our foster families, hungry and ready to be invited inside. Now safe in rescue, Sassafras has been spayed, microchipped & vaccinated and she’ll be available for adoption soon.

Welcome Dora the Explorer to CHS! This little lady was found in a car engine and the kind people took the whole engine apart to get her out. Dora will be in foster care until she is big enough for spay surgery. Follow along for Dora's adventures.

Ready for her forever home! Jyn is shy at first, but very playful. She loves wand toys, mice toys, and especially the ball on the track toy. She will let you pick her up and purrs when petted. She will sleep on you once you are comfortable. She gets the zoomies and loves to run. She also loves to hang upside-down on the cat tower. She is good with other cats and dogs.

When you give, the homeless animals get a chance at the good life. Jaguar, Bentley, Mercedes, & Bugatti were strays that got access to vet care and a safe space to live until adoption, all thanks to the community's support!
