Backpacks for Home is a non-profit organization dedicated to feeding in-need students in the Conway Public School District on the weekends.
Many children in our community receive free and reduced breakfasts and lunches while at school, but do not have food to eat when they return home on the weekend. Backpacks for Home provides these students with backpacks full of food on Friday afternoons to help alleviate this problem. The students return their backpacks the next week and we fill them up again the next Friday. The students are provided backpacks throughout the school year.
A child's empty stomach or worry of when they may receive their next meal has a direct effect on their performance, focus, and confidence in school!

This holiday season we are looking for backpacks and nonperishable food donations!
Do you have backpacks stuffed away in a closet from years past?? Let B4H take those off of your hands and put them to use!
Non-perishable items that we take include but are not limited to:
-Ramen Noodles
-Canned Vegetables
-Canned pasta
-Tuna
-Fruit cups
-Cereal
-Crackers
-Boxed Meals (ex. Homestyle Bakes)
-Pop-tarts
-Cereal Bars
-Oatmeal
-Mac&Cheese
