People normally imagine therapy as lying on a couch while someone asks, “And how does that make you feel?” ….
And sometimes it is that.

But therapy can also look like laughter, tears, learning new ways to cope, understanding yourself more deeply, saying something out loud for the first time, processing experiences you’ve carried for years, or simply having a space where you don’t have to hold everything on your own.

🤍

We often hear mama’s say, “My baby is already 10 months old, it can’t be postpartum depression.”

In reality, postpartum depression can begin anytime within the first year after delivery, and perinatal mental health conditions can start during pregnancy. Some mama’s also notice mood changes when weaning from breastfeeding, even beyond the first year, as hormones shift again. You’re not “too late” to get support.

Dads, you are not overlooked in the perinatal mental health space. Lack of sleep, increased stress, and even hormonal changes after a baby is born can contribute to increased anxiety, depression, and emotional strain for fathers too. Support is for you as well!

We have a seat for you and a pack-n-play for your baby. 🤍

Sometimes motherhood means putting everyone else first.
Sometimes there’s no time “off.”
And sometimes the baby has to come with you to your appointment.

We don’t want childcare logistics to be the reason moms miss out on mental health support. We’re committed to making care accessible in ways that work for real life and parenthood.

You’re always welcome to:
◌ bring your baby into the office
◌ ask for a walk-and-talk session along the Conway Riverwalk with a stroller
◌ meet virtually from the comfort of home

Social workers are college educated professionals who serve in every corner of our society, often quietly, and often without recognition.

They work on the macro level, shaping policies and systems, and on the micro level, sitting face-to-face with individuals and families during some of the hardest moments of their lives.

They are often overworked and underpaid, yet they continue to show up day in and day out to make a difference.

Most people will be impacted by a social worker at some point in their life… even if they don’t realize it.

Your loved one is in the hospital?
A social worker is there helping with discharge planning, resources, or applying for Medicaid.

Your child is struggling with bullying?
A social worker is there helping them process emotions and feel supported.

Your parent is aging or on hospice?
A social worker is there supporting both your loved one and your entire family.

Social workers are everywhere & even social workers need social workers. Their impact runs deeper than most people ever see.

This month while social workers are collaborating with individuals, agencies, and policymakers to create meaningful change and build a better world - let’s thank them & voice appreciation for all of the work they do!

From the bottom of our hearts,

Thank you social workers for all you do 🫶🏼👏🏼
