Now there are many factors that play into this like dependents and married or single, but this will give you an idea of how your employer figures out your check. Also if your self employed then most bookkeepers or cpa's normally tell their clients to withhold 15%-20% per job for self employment taxes and on this table you will see the 15.3% and how that is figured.
