Here are a few pictures of a rod I’m making. Haven’t taken a lot of pictures of it. It’s coming along nicely and going to look great when finished.

Well well well. I’ve been building rods here and there for a few years now but I have never built a rod quite like the one I’m making for myself. 9’ MHX surf/pier rod. ALPS aluminum reel seat. EVA foam split grip. Cobalt blue, silver, and black will be the colors but the main feature of the rod I think I’m going to try to keep a secret until it’s finished! Had to get a little help from a good friend of mine, Bryan Hancock to get the main feature!

Another awesome rod!! Man this thing was a wild idea and turned out to be absolutely wild!! Hope your dad enjoys it. It was a blast to build!

Man I can not wait until this rod is completed. Got the grips sanded and shaped. Reel seat and grips are on the rod and the first wrap is complete.
