The Beefalo numbers in Ireland are growing. It is amazing to see how this project is going. I really look forward to the future.

Why choose Beefalo? Increased feed efficiency, hybrid vigor, and leaner meat with less cholesterol.

Well now to find a quality Beefalo. Solana was able to catch a calf at Heart of Texas in Waco. ,

In my quest to make new bloodlines of Beefalo, I am always on the lookout for Bison Hybrids or in this case a half Bison half Angus heifer. LPM Miss Miriam being my newest addition in that quest. The nice part is I can verify her back to her Dam and Sir. That is huge because you can not argue the DNA results.

I am super excited to see how this new challenge plays out. They are super gentle for being Bison. I am very pleased

In hopes of starting a new bloodline, I have added some new additions to the Ranch. Meet LPM Sir Malachi and LPM Miss Martha. I can now say that I have checked something off my Bucket List. The first being to purchase a Bison Bull to breed to my Half Bison Cows. The second being to purchase a Bison Heifer so that I can do the complete crossing from Bison to Beefalo with my own choice of breeding.

It is official, we have Beefalo in Ireland. The first calf born was a heifer out of AKDD Isaiah. This has been a long time in the making but has finally come to reality. I started working with the guy in Ireland back in June of 2023. He is expecting about 4 or 5 more calves to be born this month.

I am very pleased with these 2 little gems. Depending on the DNA results, these could be my 1st shot at 1st generation Full Blood Beefalo’s. They are both heifers. They are out of my 25% Bison bull and these 50% Bison cows. I never could get a passing fertility test on my 25% bull. He is the son of French Horns, so might have a little line breeding. I decided to just throw him out with my half bison females and hope for the best.

So my brother’s cow had a pretty cool looking calf. Leland Muehr How about that for markings. Too bad it is only a 3/4 blood.

So here is a 10 Month old bull that I debated about offering, but since the other bulls are going to new pastures, I decided to offer another option. I named him Mustafa. His Sir is Optimus an offspring of Black Diamond. Let me know if you’re interested.

The funny thing about him. His Mom produced embryos for me while pregnant with him. I had no reason to believe she was pregnant when I sent her to be collected. I did not think it was possible while being pregnant to produce eggs, but she did. When I went to pick her up along with the other 3 cows, she had a calf at her side. Totally shocked.

It is about that time of year to start thinking about how your going to breed your cows. Have you thought about Artificial Insemination or A.I. By using A.I you do not have to have your own bull and you can use several different bulls and give yourself more diversity. I have semen straws available in this guy Isaiah. He is a Full Blood Beefalo Bull, 37.5% Bison. I have conventional and female sexed semen available. I also have Full Blood conventional and female sexed embryos available. Send me a direct message if you’re interested.
