The Tuba Geek

I haven't posted here in a while, but thought it appropriate to share a big-time NSV.

The other day I went to Sam's to pick up some things and needed a pair of pants. I have a few pair I can wear, but they were inexpensive so I thought it worth it to pick up another pair.

On a whim, I picked up the size I have been wearing ... as well as the next size down. I figured that if I could wear the smaller size, I'd return the larger one and vice versa.

When I got home, I tried on the smaller size ... AND THEY FIT!

When my wife got home, she tossed me a pair of jeans that were the same size. I tried them on AND THEY FIT!

Y'all, I wish I could adequately express my excitement at seeing this, but I'll leave it like this:

First off, I'm out of wearing size 40 pants! That's right ... I was able to put on pants labeled as having a 38 inch waist!

Secondly, I am *this close* - literally TWO INCHES - from having lost 2 feet from my waist!

If I were able, I'd be doing back flips right now!
