Hard to believe there was a snow squall a little over a week ago.. The weather recently has been heavenly. The plants seem to know that it is time, and they are exploding with growth. The black flies like to get in on the action too! Bug nets are the uniform all May, they make it easier to stop and admire the beauty of spring without getting eaten alive.

The slow, often fickle, but oh so sweet Spring of the northeast. We never get tired of watching the earth wake up from winter sleep. It’s been a chilly one so far this year, but the greens don’t mind one bit.

Mixed Greens are in high demand 🥬 ! We are growing and cutting as fast as we can. Luckily with the hours of sunlight stretching longer each day the greens are racing too. A huge thank you to everyone who is choosing to support local, we really feel the love and hope we can give it right back. Sunrise this morning, a hint of frost and fog. We pay a lot of attention to the sun, where on the horizon it rises and sets, it’s track across the sky, the quality of the light .. all of these things change steadily with the seasons. To us the path of the sun tells just as much about what month it is as the weather, the foliage or a calendar. Living at a latitude with such dramatic shifts in light is a special thing, always in flux.
