A San Francisco Bay Area intensive English school for international students offering language train

The International Education Center at Diablo Valley College (IEC) opened in 2000, and since then has welcomed students from more than 40 countries. IEC works closely with DVC, and the English language program, homestay and activity programs are carefully planned to prepare international students for successful academic life. Students love the strong connection among faculty, staff and students. IE

C has a very close relationship with DVC and many students who have intentions of attending DVC, but have not yet reached the English proficiency level required attend IEC first. At DVC students can obtain an associate's degree, certificate, or complete a transfer program to go on to completing their bachelor's degree at a 4 year university. The IEC offers 6 different levels of English and has 6 sessions per year that are each 8 weeks long. During the 8 week session students will improve their listening, speaking, reading, writing, and grammar skills in English. Upon completion of the highest level of English, Advanced B, students can transfer to DVC or other sister colleges to pursue their academic studies. In addition, IEC offers academic bridge programs for students who have already acquired English proficiency. If you would like to apply to the IEC program please complete the application: http://www.iec-dvc.org/application/ and mail it back to us with the following required documents:

1) Bank statement from your financial sponsor indicating a minimum amount of $5,000 available to meet the cost of study (8 weeks)
2) Copy of your passport photograph page
3) $100 application fee
4) $50 DHL express mailing fee (optional)

If you are interested in attending DVC after you complete your English language studies at IEC, I would encourage you to submit both an IEC and DVC application directly to IEC. This will ensure that you are issued conditional admission to DVC stating that you will be able to transfer to DVC once you have fulfilled the English proficiency requirement. The DVC application can be found on the DVC International Admissions websitehttp://www.dvc.edu/international/pdfs/2011-2012%20Application.pdf and requires a $50 application fee and proof of high school completion ONLY if you are under the age of 18. Amon is amazing! In only the first week, he has made a fabulous impression on his teachers and his classmates. He's fun, interesting, dedicated and thorough, carefully absorbing and applying new information. SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT✨: We’re excited to announce IEC@DVC will be continuing online for next session in TWO TIME ZONES!!! 😱🤩🤯😍 🥳We will be holding online classes for students here in the U.S. and overseas in Asia!
Our on-campus classes have successfully transitioned into online classes amid this difficult and challenging time. But our students are resolute to continue fighting toward achieving their dreams and working hard. We are so proud of them and proud to offer to them another successful session after this one! 👏Our new Asian Time Zone classes will begin April 27, 2020. We are nearly finished with our current session.
