Picnic season kept rolling last week with our Parsippany team gathering at Black River Barn for an afternoon of good food, raffle prizes, and time together outside the office.
Along with the fun, the team also came together for a diaper drive benefiting families and individuals with disabilities who face financial challenges accessing everyday essentials. It's one more example of how Athens employees show up for their communities while enjoying time with one another.
A private tent, plenty of laughs, and a shared commitment to giving back made for a great afternoon with the team that helps make Athens what it is.

We're proud to share that Athens Administrators has once again been named the #1 Best Place to Work in the Large Company category by the San Francisco Business Times and Silicon Valley Business Journal.
In our 19th appearance on the BPTW list, Athens earned the #1 ranking for the second time. We're also proud to have ranked among the Top 10 for 10 consecutive years, a reflection of the culture our employees have built together over time.
This year also brought another milestone as Athens was recognized with the Wellness Award for the first time, honoring organizations that demonstrate a strong commitment to employee health, well-being, and workplace culture. Together, these recognitions reflect the importance we place on supporting our employees both professionally and personally.
What makes this recognition especially meaningful is that it comes directly from employee feedback. Through a confidential survey process, employees evaluate workplace experience, leadership, communication, engagement, and overall satisfaction, making this honor a true reflection of the Athens experience.
As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, we're reminded that our greatest accomplishment isn't a ranking or an award. It's the people who make Athens what it is. Their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to our values are what make Athens a great place to be.
To every member of Team Athens: thank you. This recognition belongs to you.

Last week, Athens hosted Innovation in Workers’ Compensation: Reducing Administrative Burden, Increasing Human Focus, presented by Douglas Gibb, Executive Vice President of Workers’ Compensation.
The webinar focused on practical ways organizations can reduce administrative complexity while improving communication, supporting injured employees, and driving better claim outcomes. Attendees were highly engaged throughout the session, contributing thoughtful questions and insights that added valuable perspective to the topics covered.
At Athens, we believe education and knowledge-sharing help strengthen our industry. We were pleased to see such strong participation and look forward to continuing these conversations through future webinars and events.

Sometimes the forecast has other plans.
Our Concord team was keeping a close eye on the weather and even moved this year's Fiesta Picnic indoors when rain looked inevitable. Then, as if on cue, the clouds cleared and the sun showed up anyway.
Luckily, the location didn't matter. The laughter, games, great food, and team spirit filled every corner of the office. The caricature artist quickly became the star of the day, creating plenty of memorable keepsakes, while employees embraced the fiesta theme with colorful outfits and a little friendly competition. One team even showed up dressed as hot sauce packets, which may have officially won the award for creativity.
A little flexibility, a lot of fun, and another reminder that the best part of any Athens event is the people.

When your office collects donations for a local animal rescue… and the thank you comes with four legs and a wagging tail.
Our Nevada team recently welcomed some furry visitors from Paws Patrol LV after gathering donations to support their rescue efforts. Safe to say productivity paused for a few minutes while everyone took advantage of some much-needed puppy cuddles and tail-wagging break time.
Not a bad way to spend part of the workday.

Picnic season is officially in full swing.
Our Orange team took advantage of the SoCal sunshine, good food, raffle prizes, and plenty of laughs with the people who make Athens what it is. Alongside the fun, the team also came together to collect canned food donations in support of Feed America, turning a great afternoon into something even more meaningful.
A lot of camaraderie and one more reminder that the best teams know how to show up for each other and their communities.
The best part of Bring Your Child to Work Day? Watching Athens through their eyes.
What may feel routine to us quickly became exciting conversations, big questions, and proud moments as our employees shared what they do and why it matters. From teamwork and technology to culture and community, the day reflected what Athens has always been about: people.
We believe great workplaces support more than careers. They create connection, invest in families, and build a culture people are proud to share with the next generation.
Safe to say… we may have inspired a few future Athens team members along the way.
