As another school year comes to an end, we just want to take this opportunity to thank each one of you for your work in supporting our students.

Your advocacy and dedication is appreciated and seen by many.

Please take this time to rest and spend time in whatever brings you joy over your well deserved summer break.

Members, remember to vote on the tentative agreement regarding contract benefits and protections for our adult educators.

Please remember that there is a general membership meeting today virtually at 4 pm. Ratification vote starts tomorrow.

We celebrated the 2026 Alcosta WHO Awardees today. MDEA's "We Honor Ours" award recipient this year is Brett Haupt.

We continue the fight for paid pregnancy leave for teachers.

WE DID THIS! Thousands of CTA members shared their story, signed petitions, showed up to the Capitol to fight for pregnancy leave - and now our sponsored legislation alongside Assemblymember Aguiar Curry (who has been with us from the beginning!) is now in the May Revise. 14 weeks of paid pregnancy leave will be transformational for California educators and families.
