I really believe this song can be a hit. It has so much going for it. But, going the organic route as I am, it can take a long time to gather enough ears to give it the exposure it needs. It’s veeeery difficult to get people to listen at all, nevermind in large numbers, especially while they’re zombie scrolling. But, perhaps one day, the right person will click the link and realize how special this track really is.

“Old Rail Car”

This was the first full solo album that I released. Though I had recorded many tunes in the past and played on other people’s projects, until just a few years ago, I had never released an album of my own songs.

For this one, as well as the follow up blues EP “On My Way”, I wrote, recorded all vocals and instruments, produced, mixed and mastered the entire thing.

Though I vividly hear every inadequacy with each listen, this album still serves as a source of pride and accomplishment for me.

The feeling I got with listening to this album evolve, especially early on, can’t be put into words. If listening to it gives you just a tiny fraction of the enjoyment that creating it gave to me, I think that can only be called a win.

Heavy This is a song about depression. It can be an agonizingly lonely head space. I hope that this song might remind some who struggle with this affliction that they are not alone.

This is the title track of my blues EP from a couple of years ago. This one has a cool, laid back pseudo funky vibe to it. It’s one of my favorite styles. It’s available on all streaming platforms. The link is for Apple Music.

Lately I’ve been really into a blues/folk hybrid kind of sound. In the past, I was more of an electric blues kind of guy. But, maybe I’m mellowing with age as I’m really digging this stylistic feel.

This one hedges more in the folky direction. But, with blues being such a graciously inclusive genre, I think it still makes the cut.

Richest Man Around This is a song I wrote on Christmas Eve. Though there are instrumental sections, the lyrics are the soul of this piece.

This is one I definitely want to tweak a bit for my next blues album. I originally wrote and recorded it for a country album I put out some years back. I want to redo to vocal track as I did it quickly and have never been satisfied with it. A little remixing and fresh mastering, though, and I think I’ll have a killer track.
