CJP alum, high school teacher, Jamie Vance makes grab bags for CJP’s 1st Annual Spring Picnic. "I didn't want to include a bunch of junk that would break after 2 minutes, but a few things they could actually use for school. I kmow my students sometimes lack paper and pencils. And I thought an emoji theme could be relevant for the age range we serve".
Bags are reusable, the ball is good for those who need to fidget, playdough is fun for everyone, and a light snack for nutrition.

For the Compton Cowboys, Horseback Riding Is a Legacy, and Protection 04/01/2018

When we say we KEEP KIDS ON HORSES AND OFF THE STREETS, we mean it. Some of CJP alumni, known as the Compton Cowboys, can attest to the impact that CJP has had in keeping them from being victims of surrounding gang violence, shaping them into the role models they are today. Please read & share their story, which has made it all the way to the New York Times. This couldn't have come at a more perfect time, as we are in serious need of donations to continue programs. We need more youth to enage with horses and be productive members of society. Thank you all for your continued support.

For the Compton Cowboys, Horseback Riding Is a Legacy, and Protection A group of childhood friends wants to create a safer community and challenge the notion that African-Americans can’t be cowboys.
