A legacy lives on...

Dignitaries from all across the 18 major cities that one belonged to the Rancho San Pedro joined the Dominguez Rancho Adobe Museum for the Eagle Tree Planting Ceremony on May 29th. 🌳

The Eagle Tree served as the Rancho San Pedro's northeastern boundary and is believed to be well over 200 years old. The sycamore was mentioned in Mexican land surveys as far back as 1857 and served as a natural landmark for navigational purposes. After it fell in 2022, all that was left were saplings that sprouted from the original tree. One sapling finds it's home here on the rancho to thrive for many years to come. 🐮

Adobe Days took people back in time, but also to multiple adobes all at once The event included activities, guest speakers and performances at Andrés Pico Adobe, the second oldest adobe in Los Angeles, and the home of the San Fernando Valley Historical Society.
