Some names are created. Ours came from something we kept seeing right here over the ranch.
Every so often, the crows would take to the sky and fly across the property together, one after another, stretching out into what looked like a long black line overhead.
It became one of those familiar sights around the ranch. Eventually, it gave us an idea.

Those crows flying in a straight line over the ranch became the inspiration behind our name. And with Black Angus at the heart of what we raise, the name couldn't have fit us much better.
Now, whenever we see that black line crossing the sky, we're reminded of where the name started. πΎ

This week marks the official kick-off of our retail hay business.
Weβve been putting a lot of work into building out Blackline Ranchβs hay operation, and weβre officially up and running. We now have round and small square bales available and are scheduling custom hay work from Gainesville through Carnesville.
