When I took office and received the county Chairman cell phone, the entire phone was wiped… no call log, no contacts, no messages, nothing. Except one internet browser left open to the Fox 5 news story done years ago about the county boundary.

I made one phone call to the regional commission that counties rely on to make sure their boundaries are shown correctly on US Census maps, and all of the below info came to light as a result of that initial inquiry.

It is undeniable fact that Banks County arbitrarily changed the way they portrayed the boundary on some internal maps starting in 2012. Up until I took office, there were still some maps that had the straight line hanging on the wall beside maps that had the curved line. As proof, I have purposely left a pair hanging in the building if anyone would like to see them.

As you’ll see in the documents, the straight line is accurate. Now that the US Census Bureau has noticed their error and committed to correcting it, there is no need for a survey. Every entity in the entire world recognizes the straight line as the legal boundary. If anyone wishes to continue pretending that the line magically curved without any legal proceedings to amend it, that’s their own business.

This has been going on for 14 years. Claims that “it’s been settled” are nothing more than weak government propaganda meant to keep the sheep beat down. Now it is settled. The line is straight, because that’s what the law says it is, and this government isn’t going to pretend otherwise.
