✨🐈🥓🥞🍳We had such a great time last Sunday at the Cat Pajama Jam Brunch. Whether you attended the event, donated online, took part in the silent auction, or were a sponsor, you helped raise a lot of money for the cats and kittens at The Feline Fix. We are so grateful - thank you all! We'll be back again next year! ❤

🐾 What does a feral/community cat receive during TNR at our clinic?
More than many people realize 💛
When community cats come through our program, they receive:
✂️ Spay or neuter surgery
👂 An ear tip (to show they’ve already been fixed)
💉 Rabies vaccine
💉 FVRCP vaccine
🩺 A physical exam by our veterinary team
And the reason we vaccinate is simple:
For many of these cats, this may be the ONLY time in their entire lives that they receive medical care.
TNR isn’t just about preventing kittens — it’s also about improving the health and quality of life of community cats already living outdoors.
That tiny ear tip tells future trappers:
🐱 “I’ve already been helped.”
Every cat matters. Even the ones who may never live indoors 💛

She couldn’t groom herself anymore, so we stepped in.
This sweet senior community cat was already ear tipped and spayed, meaning she’d previously been through our TNR program.
As cats age, things can get a little harder. In her case, she’s missing several teeth, which made grooming difficult. Over time, painful mats formed in her fur.
While she was safely under anesthesia, our team:
🐾 Removed her mats
🐾 Updated her vaccines
🐾 Provided any medical care she needed
🐾 Helped make her more comfortable for her return outdoors
One thing people don’t always realize is that mat removal looks different depending on the season.
Here in the Rockies, winters can be harsh. During the colder months, we often try to remove only the most problematic mats and leave as much healthy fur as possible because that coat helps protect community cats from the elements.
But with warmer weather here now, we were able to give this sweet girl a full shave so she can enjoy the summer months much more comfortably.
Not every community cat needs a home indoors. Sometimes the kindest thing we can do is make sure they’re healthy, comfortable, and able to enjoy the life they know.

🐾🎉 KITTEN ADOPTION EVENT! 🎉🐾
Kitten season is officially here, and we have 12 adorable kittens looking for their forever homes! 🐱💕
📍 School House Kitchen and Libations 5660 Olde Wadsworth Blvd, Arvada, CO 80002
📅 May 31st
⏰ 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
These kittens will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, unless you’ve scheduled an appointment in advance. We will be there until 2 PM, but if all the kittens find homes before then, we’ll be heading out early to spend our time rescuing even more kittens in need! 🐾
Thinking about adopting? Please remember to bring a carrier to safely take your new family member home. 🧺
