A Tornado WATCH has been issued for all of East Central Alabama and West Central Georgia until 11:00PM EDT!

Main Hazards:
A few spin-up tornadoes are possible, isolated hail up to half-inch size, and scattered wind gusts up to 70 MPH in the stronger storms,

Flooding still remains the biggest threat, so be extremely careful on the roadways this evening.

WEATHER UPDATE: The Tornado WATCH for southern Alabama has been extended eastward to include southeast Alabama, including Barbour, Bullock, Macon and Russell Counties until 5PM CDT.

The remnants of Tropical Storm Arthur will be moving across Alabama and Georgia throughout the day today and tonight. Here's a graphic put together by the National Weather Service (Peachtree City Office) showing the different threats and when those threats will be the greatest for those of you in Georgia. The threat timeline for West Central Georgia is between NOW and about 1AM. Afterwards, we could still see some scattered showers and storms, but the biggest threat for any severe weather will be in central and eastern Georgia.

MAIN THREATS: The Tornado threat is low, but still could see a few isolated spin-ups. Max wind gusts will be in the 30-40 MPH range. Our main threat will be from flooding. We could see anywhere from 2 to 6 inches of rain, and if we see the higher end, some flooding will be likely.
