Blockfort will be open 12-5 on Saturday with the Brian Buchanan exhibition reception from 4-6.

Parking can be found in our lot, street and nearby parking garages.

Please join us on Saturday, September 19 from 4-6pm for the artist reception with Brian Buchanan and his exhibition Ubiquitous Beauty.

Joleanna Bare Joleanna Designs joined Blockfort Blockfort studios in February 2026. Bringing enthusiasm, community drive and her artistic passion, she has been a truly positive presence here.

This month she started serving as an ArtistYear Fellow with Columbus Public Schools through June 2027.

She has been the 934 Fest 934 Fest Mural Chair for the last 2 years and worked on the committee for 3. The annual festival is this weekend, September 11 and 12 at and around 934 Gallery 934 Gallery.

Goals that Joleanna is focused on for the remainder of the year include completion of her series What We Hold Inside of Us; Finding an artist residency outside of Ohio and a top secret project surrounding her mural works.

You can find her in the studio during most of Blockfort opening receptions, stop in and say hi.

Brian Buchanan’s Brian Buchanan show Ubiquitous Beauty was extended and can be viewed in the main gallery for the month of September. Stop in, chill out and view this larger than life artwork. Your eyes will want to look at all four walls at the same time. 👀
