The Vanderelli Room

2014-2023 We were an artspace/gallery for the visual and performing arts. The Vanderelli Room is roughly a 1200 sq.ft. gallery with 9 1/2 ft.

walls and a pitched ceiling. There is a 25’x10’ stage, plenty of wall and floor space to house both 2D, 3D, and the performing arts. In The Vanderelli Room you will have an opportunity to see carefully curated exhibitions featuring local and national artists.

WitchLab is moving! Your friendly neighborhood Witch Store and Lounge are losing their buildings, and we need your help!

We have been served notice to leave the buildings that have been the home of WitchLab and WitchLab Lounge. The landlord has stated that they plan to pursue an eviction due to a performance at the Lounge in early August, which they deemed a breach of our lease due to a fire element. Whether they plan to follow through with the eviction or allow us to stay the remaining few months on our lease (fingers crossed for this option), the result will be the same: WitchLab is moving!

This is good news! It’s time for a change, and we welcome it. The timing is unexpected, as we had been in lease renewal negotiations for many months and were planning on staying, but that is no longer an option. The timing is also unfortunate as the bar has only been operating for a year and a half, which the building and development of was a financial burden that we had planned on spreading out over many years, and we do not have the resources to do it again so soon.

We love being a part of the many communities that welcome us, and we just aren’t ready to pack it in. So we’re putting out the call for help! WitchLab needs you!

Where’s the new location?
Excellent question. We have a building in mind that we are hoping will fit all of our needs, and that is all we can share for now. We are keeping the rest under our hats until we know more. When is this happening?
We are hopeful that the landlord will allow us to stay until the end of our lease, in which case the move would be in early November. If they decide to pursue the eviction, that timeline is less in our control.

What happens if I have an event scheduled at WitchLab during this time?
We are working on keeping as many events on the calendar as possible while doing business as usual for as long as we can. If you have an event scheduled with us and would like to discuss what this might mean, please don't hesitate to contact us.
