“In the development of these forms, I intentionally steer away from binary attitudes in early formation stages, encouraging a necessary reliance between the glass and supporting industrial elements like metal, wood or shifting aggregate,” says Santiago Mora. “Glass, in this context, acts as an instrument toward visualizing the dynamic thrill of balance across all of its contexts, allowing me to strive for cruising altitude across a sensitive triad of concept, craft and genuine connection.”
Mora’s Brush Strokes 02 was awarded the Emerging Craftsman Scholarship Award in Memory of Julie Yassenoff. It is on view, along with work by 68 other artists, now through July 3rd, in the “Best of 2026” juried member’s exhibition at the Ohio Craft Museum.

“Using clay as a record of time and touch, I aim to make objects that invoke investigation of landscapes and place; how they grow and decay over time,” says Sam McCall. “Forms are made slowly with consideration to volume and breath, often blooming out from the table.”
McCall’s Bottle Basket was awarded the ODC Director’s Award for Excellence. It is on view, along with work by 68 other artists, now through July 3rd, in the “Best of 2026” juried member’s exhibition at the Ohio Craft Museum.

“My work for the past 30 years or so has been greatly influenced by my childhood, growing up on a small farm,” says Liz Hunt. “As back then, today the experience of going into the woods to gather materials is an energizing and fascinating activity.”
Her Willow Armchair was awarded the Barbara Robinson Award for Excellence in Traditional Craft. It is on view, along with work by 68 other artists, now through July 3rd, in the “Best of 2026” juried member’s exhibition at the Ohio Craft Museum.

“My work is driven by a desire to tell stories. Through glass, I translate narratives into physical space, using imagery and surface texture to separate the viewer from reality,” says Lane Grigson.
Grigson’s Ancient Rune was awarded the ODC Board of Trustees Emerging Craftsman Award. It is on view, along with work by 68 other artists, now through July 3rd, in the “Best of 2026” juried member’s exhibition at the Ohio Craft Museum

“My essence is rooted in Mexican folk art, yet my purpose is not nostalgic preservation, but rather its reinterpretation as an impulse for contemporary adaptation” says Emma Garcia-Madrid.
Garcia-Madrid’s meticulously beaded bracelet, Reliquary of Hope, is on view, along with work by 68 other artists, now through July 3rd, in the “Best of 2026” juried member’s exhibition at the Ohio Craft Museum.

“I aspire to create pieces that defy movement, such as bending fired clay and shaping it into new forms, wanting to twist, pull and see what else can do when we push it past it’s limits. Through the assembly of chain-link clay pieces, the work retains the possibility of mobility when pulled or lifted.” says Hannah Slagell.
Her material-defying work, Intertwine was awarded the ODC Award for Excellence. It is on view, along with work by 68 other artists, now through July 3rd, in the “Best of 2026” juried member’s exhibition.

April Felipe’s work explores identity, memory and belonging, drawing from her experience as an American of Dominican and Puerto Rican descent. She creates layered sculptures using ceramics and fiber to examine how personal and cultural histories shape who we are and how we present ourselves.

Her work, She Held Her Breath, was created from a combination of porcelain, underglazes, cotton fiber, pastels, wood, gold fringe and punch embroidery. See this stunning work in-person, along with work by 68 other artists, now through July 3rd, in the “Best of 2026” juried member’s exhibition.
