Today, we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, father figures, and caregivers who provide guidance, support, love, and strength in the lives of others.
Fatherhood can be incredibly rewarding—but it can also come with challenges, stress, responsibility, and emotional demands that often go unspoken.
This Father's Day, we encourage all fathers to remember that taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your family. Seeking support, practicing self-care, and making space for your own well-being are signs of strength, not weakness.
To all the dads and father figures: thank you for the many ways you show up each day. Your presence matters, and so does your mental health.
Wishing you a day filled with appreciation, connection, and care.

Mental health care should be accessible, culturally responsive, and affirming for all communities.

Accepting that your capacity has changed is a form of self-compassion and a radical act of kindness. It grounds you in reality, slowing you down enough to acknowledge that you cannot outwork or outperform your body's capacity.
Psychological and emotional setbacks have ramifications that extend beyond our feelings. After a major emotional blow, it takes time for the body and nervous system to regain their footing.
Your attention span may be shorter, your energy lower, and your resilience, the ability to bounce back as quickly as before, may be diminished.
Life’s curveballs rarely align with the functionality of our nervous system, yet it is important that we acknowledge this truth. Even when the world is unkind and moving at a pace we cannot sustain, we can choose self-kindness instead.
The truth is, after a major setback, we are no longer the same. And rather than fighting that reality, we can honor it with compassion and patience as we heal. If you need support navigating this new space, please reach out and I will connect you with one of our clinicians.

June is Men's Mental Health Awareness Month.
Mental health challenges affect everyone, yet many men feel pressure to remain silent about their struggles.
Seeking support is not a sign of weakness—it's a sign of courage.
Let's continue breaking the stigma and creating spaces where men feel safe to talk openly about their mental health.
You deserve support, too.
