A recent conversation with a friend centered around our need to accept the reality that sometimes we make mistakes in life. And….it is OK if we learn from them and move on. They are an important part of the learning process, but only if we will let them be. I am one who tends to want answers immediately, and often, they just do not come. I become impatient. This inhibits me letting go and letting God. I try to lean on the following scripture – Psalm 91:2: I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” If I can learn to live out this scripture, my life and service to God and others will be so much better. And, if I can do this, and you ever struggle with the same problem, so can you. God is good! All the time!

Friday is upon us. That glorious day that many of us live to see each week. There are even memes on the Internet now that many use to proclaim it “FriYay!” Weekends are good for us as we rest from hectic weeks and try to regenerate our lives in two short days. Many live for the nightlife of Friday and Saturday. Many live for two days of doing nothing except what they choose to do. We tend to want to claim both weekend days as our own. But…for those of us who profess our Christian faith, one of those days, Sunday, is the Lord’s day, a day of Sabbath set aside for His worship and our rest. I encourage anyone reading this to seek the peace and rest found in gathering with His children in a time of worship. Go expecting to receive all you need to get you through the days that try you the most. Your worship of Him can bring more peace and relaxation that can change your outlook and hope for not just a great week, but a great life as well. I love what God tells us in Jeremiah 31:25, “I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.”
