BOSS UP Success Story: Quyum, a member of BOSS UP Cohort 1, consistently demonstrated strong leadership and determination as he worked toward his goals.

While in the class, he expressed an interest in becoming a pilot, so our staff worked to connect him with valuable resources and experiences to explore aviation.

After learning about a summer aviation program recommended by our team, Quyum and his mom decided to participate.

After the summer, our team followed up with Quyum and learned that he successfully completed the program! Through the experience, he further developed his skills, gained valuable aviation knowledge, and even had the chance to fly a plane.

This is what it looks like when we work together to connect participants with opportunities beyond our programs. We’re so proud of Quyum’s continued dedication to his goals and excited to see where his journey takes him next!✈️💙

Get ready to Trick or Treat at IMPACT on Thursday, October 29, from 4–6 p.m. at our headquarters: 711 Southwood Ave. Columbus, OH 43207

Kids will have the opportunity to trick or treat inside IMPACT, collecting candy from IMPACT staff and our partner organizations. Families can also enjoy crafts, games, snacks, and prizes throughout the evening!

Our BOSS UP students had a great time during the BMI Federal Credit Union Financial Simulation!

Through this hands-on activity, students experienced what it’s like to receive a paycheck and learn about the different deductions that impact their take-home pay. This experience gives them a foundation to build on when BOSS UP later takes a deeper dive into paychecks, taxes, and deductions.

A new BOSS UP cohort is officially in the classroom!

Yesterday, our students kicked things off by learning the BOSS UP basics and getting to know their classmates.

Over the next eight weeks, they’ll explore career pathways, build real-world life skills, strengthen their financial confidence, develop leadership habits, and start thinking about what’s possible for their future.
