LSS of Central Ohio was started on this day in 1912. We are incredibly grateful to still be able to serve so many people in need after 113 years, and that is only because of your support!

Thanks to staff from Rep. Mike Carey and Jim Jordan for meeting with our LSS Health Center and Ohio Association of Community Health Centers as part of a discussion around the critical role of federally qualified health centers in Ohio.

We had a wonderful open house last night celebrating the completion of our renovations. These renovations added behavioral health offices and space for an eventual pharmacy. We also added consultation space for supportive services and updated our lab. Thanks to everyone who came!

We attended Alianza 614’s El Morral event, held in partnership with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, where over 200 Latinx families received fresh produce, connections to healthcare resources and more. It was a vibrant and joyful day—complete with food, music, games and even an Ice Bucket Challenge hosted by the Sheriff’s Office!

We were proud to participate in Columbus State Community College's Spring Fling event, where we had the opportunity to connect with over 150 students. We provided vital mental and sexual health resources, helping to promote wellness and awareness across campus.

LSS Health Center was proud to join the NMAC Biomedical HIV Prevention Summit in Atlanta recently! We connected with leaders and advocates from across the country to explore the latest advancements in HIV prevention—including PrEP, PEP, U=U and equitable access to care. We’re bringing the knowledge home to better serve and empower our community!

LSS Health Center joined the Make-A-Day pop-up at the Hilltop Library, offering free meals, resources, and connections to care. Building a healthier community, one neighbor at a time!

• 🍽️ 193 chef-prepared meals were served
• 💇 42 people received haircuts
• 📱 80 free phones distributed
• 🛒10 guests enroll in SNAP
• ❤️ 20 guests connected with HIV and Hep C testing and treatment

We were happy to be a part of Ohio Association of Community Health Centers Day at the Statehouse to engage with legislators about the importance and impact of community health centers!
