I am so excited to share that Xavier Gitre was just awarded a 4th place Category Award in Animal Sciences at the International Science and Engineering Fair in Phoenix, AZ this morning.
Xavier’s project this year, Parent-Absent Begging in Eastern Bluebirds, was his third trip to ISEF. You can learn more about his project through his virtual display board.

Thank you to everyone who came out tonight for our STEM Community Night. Our Culinary friends provided delicious refreshments and our had some great displays! Best of all was the community support for our incredible researchers! Good luck this weekend!

Yesterday was a big day for this crew. They did an amazing job with their AP Seminar presentations for the AP Exam, and we celebrated with while getting started on the second performance task. I am so proud of this crew!

The 2026 MACC Season is off to a great start with all 5 MACC teams victorious over Pulaski tonight 🧹🧹🧹

I am so excited to announce that Xavier was selected as one of the 2026 Science Talent Search Scholars. This year marks the 85th Anniversary of the nation’s oldest and most prestigious science and math competition for high school seniors. The explains “scholars were chosen based on their outstanding research, leadership skills, community involvement, commitment to academics, creativity in asking scientific questions and exceptional promise as STEM leaders demonstrated through the submission of their original independent research projects, essays and recommendations.”
