Throwback to the Home and Garden Show I designed in 2015. I called this one "The Birds and the Bees"

This garden was designed to challenge the traditional aesthetic—approaching the landscape as art while promoting sustainability. Maintaining complex gardens can become a challenge as we age, and with water becoming increasingly precious, conservation is more important than ever.

💧 Water Conservation: Rainwater is harvested from a purifying green roof, and transported via a sculptural chain downspout.
🌱 Biodiversity: Native plants provide birds, bees, and butterflies essential habitats.

🏡 Wildlife Habitat: Birdhouses, insect hotels, and masonry walls double as artful shelters.

Inspired by the minimal realism of Ohio artist Charlie Harper, this garden reflects the beauty of nature through paver mosaics, tiles, and sculpture. 🎨

Happy Earth Day! Remember to plant some native plants on your property. This flower develops and rises from the center of a curled leaf, opens in full sun, and closes at night. It lasts for a relatively short time. This one was found at Inniswood Metro Park.

Miniature Daffodil Bulbs bear small flowers on proportionately smaller plants. In this instance, bulbs are underplanted among a bed of liriope. The daffodils emerge after the liriope is cut back in late winter. When planted in masses, daffodils will bring stunning color in early spring. By the time the daffodils die back, the new growth of the liriope foliage will hide the unsightly yellowing foliage of the daffodils.
